Louis Vuitton Speedy Bag – A Timeless Classic

by Louis Vuitton — Categories: louis vuitton bag — Tags: 2 Comments

Handbags can be timeless and I love these vintage paparazzi shots of Audrey Hepburn carrying her Louis Vuitton Speedy bag. The bag launched back in 1930 and in 1965 Audrey Hepburn asked Henri-Louis Vuitton to make a smaller sized Speedy bag so the Speedy 25 came about. One of my New Year vows is to use more of what I have in my closet so I’m going to try to bring this bag I’ve had for 8 years back into rotation. Prices have gone up a since I first bought this bag so it’s definitely a great investment.

Pick up a Louis Vuitton Speedy 25 ($665) for a compact style or the larger Speedy 30 ($690) that is slightly larger and can hold more things. With top handle bags in fashion and ladylike looks coming back, this is the perfect accessory to wear dressed up or casual.

I also love how the classic bag shape looks in the Damier Ebene Canvas. Looks super cute in the Speedy 25 size!

Modern starlets like Ashley Olsen, Avril Lavigne and Jennifer Love Hewitt have brought them back into the spotlight.

Louis Vuitton Monogram Cerises Bag

For Spring/Summer 2005, Louis Vuitton is offering a fresh, new take on the popular Monogram Canvas line with the Monogram Cerises. The Pochette (shown right) sports a gorgeous set of red, smiling cherries adding some color to the normally brown and tan bag. The Monogram Cerises collection was created by Takashi Murakami and features natural cowhide and red topstitching. The Pochette measures 8 x 5 inches, sells for $355 and makes me want to go to Dairy Queen for a banana split.

Biography of Louis Vuitton

by Louis Vuitton — Categories: louis vuitton bag — Tags: No Comments

Louis Vuitton (August 4,1821 – February 27, 1892), eponymous founder of the company, was born in the department of Jura, France. In 1835, he moved to Paris. The trip from his hometown to Paris was over 400 kilometers (249 mi), and he traveled the distance by foot. On his way there, he picked up a series of odd jobs to pay for his journey. There, he became an apprentice Layetier to prominent households. Because of his well established reputation in his fields, Napoleon III of France appointed Vuitton as Layetier to his wife, Empress Eugénie de Montijo. Through his experience with French royalty, he developed advanced knowledge of what made a good traveling case. It was then that he began to design his own luggage, setting the foundations for LV Co.  But many people also come to love Christian Dior Handbag.

Louis Vuitton Annette Travel Bag

We all travel. And we all carry luggage. The thing about luggage is that usually we don’t think about it as a fashion statement; beleive me, it is. Have you ever thought about how many people you pass from airport to airport, not to mention picking up your luggage at baggage claim. Do you want to be that person picking up the unmatching, worn in, ugly baggage or the one who everyone watches picking up your matching LV baggage? I damn well know I’d love to be envied, rather than pitied.
Do us all a favor, trash the old stuff and buy yourself some totally trendy luggage.
I suggest the totally obviously hip Louis Vuitton Annette luggage on wheels. For a short weekend trip, this will do the trick. The bag allows for easy travel and sports the LV black monogram canvas with leather trim, sturdy noiseless wheels, and a double zipper with a pretty spacious inner compartment. The bag is not huge, but can be used as a carry on bag and fit nicely overhead so you can avoid baggage claim, which is alwaya a huge plus. As with any other Louis Vuitton bag the price isn’t cheap, but who cares if you can look that good. Goes for a steep price tag of $1,780.
